Alma and Heather DeMille family.
We live on 19 acres in Utah, and have 10 children, 3 children-in-law & 3 grandchildren. We love and raise gaited horses and incredibly adorable Pomsky & Aristocratic Great Weimar dogs! We each have a long history breeding, training and loving animals since our youth. Combined, we have over 60 years of experience. This is what we do. It is not just a hobby for us, it is our passion, career and family lifestyle! We don't do this to compete in shows and earn accolades, but to raise high quality animals that bring years of joy, entertainment and companionship to their owners. Why? Because we love animals, and enjoy sharing them with others. Our many years of experience and study have given us an eye for excellence, and we have consistently sought education as we become experts in our fields. Heather studied Biology and Genetics in college, and has also taken and passed the intense AKC Dog breeding courses. She is especially educated and interested in the color genetics of both dogs and horses. She has been training dogs since the young age of 10. Alma DeMille spent his childhood years assisting his veterinary Grandfather, studied animal nutrition & husbandry in college, and is a nationally recognized farrier, breeder, trainer and clinician, with a particular interest in Gaited horses - known for producing the best of the best for health, athleticism and a smooth ride! He has also owns and trains his own hunting dogs, earning AKC field trial titles.
Many years ago we bred Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes. At the end of 2013, we had one of our puppy buyers mention the new breed called the Pomsky. We didn't think much of it. However, about a month later, our young daughter came home from a cousin's house all excited about this new breed she saw pictures of, called Pomskies! This got my attention, so I went ahead and looked the breed up online. At that time, Pomskies were more of an extremely popular idea, and less of a reality. In fact, the original pictures of "Pomskies" that went viral weren't even Pomskies, just puppies of other breeds (like purebred huskies). This idea of creating a fluffy, miniature husky intrigued me. I started researching the genetics, and decided to get on board with creating this new breed! We were one of the first 8 breeders to join the International Pomsky Association, and together with these other foundation breeders, we have had a wonderful experience making great strides toward creating what the Pomsky is today! We started with four unrelated pairs of Siberian Huskies and Pomeranians, breeding them via artificial insemination with a well-known canine reproductive specialist, Dr. Pew. We are now on our 2nd and 3rd generations, and have now made it to the point where all of our pups have that distinct Siberian Husky appearance!
This has been an adventure of a lifetime!
Marsh and Alisa Morford family
This beautiful family has joined the Pomsky Northerns team! We are so grateful to have them on board as they have become an indispensable part of this effort. They have 9 beautiful children which they home school. They are a tight-knit family with an incredible work ethic and love for animals. They live on a beautiful Utah homestead where the whole family works together to raise chickens, goats, pigs and a huge garden! Also, starting back in 2007, they developed a dog-sledding business. Not only have their kids competed in (and won) dog sledding competitions, they also offer to the public the once-in-a-lifetime experience of riding a dog sled up in the beautiful, snowy Utah mountains! They raise some very talented sled dogs and are great with them.

It is a great experience to work with this neat family who have become our dear friends. They are very dedicated to helping us raise some of the best Pomskies in the world! Their extensive experience with animal husbandry is truly a blessing for Pomsky Northerns, as are the Morford kids who do a wonderful job helping care for and socialize the pups!
Another video of the Morford's sled dogs is below. I love seeing how much the dogs love their job!
